Your adventure kicks off in Tangier, where your driver will meet you and take you on a scenic drive to the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted streets, charming alleys, and relaxed atmosphere. Spend the day exploring the medina, visiting the Kasbah Museum, or just soaking in the magical views from a rooftop café. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, say goodbye to Chefchaouen and head towards the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the well-preserved mosaics and columns that tell stories of Morocco’s Roman past.
Next, visit the imperial city of Meknes, known for its grand gates and historical medina. Stop by Bab Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco, and explore the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum before continuing to Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Your desert adventure begins today! Travel south through Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style houses, and then pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you might spot Barbary macaques.
Stop for lunch in Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, before continuing towards the Sahara. As you approach Merzouga, the towering Erg Chebbi dunes will come into view.
Arrive in Merzouga and switch to camels for an unforgettable sunset trek into the desert. At your luxury desert camp, enjoy a warm welcome, delicious dinner under the stars, and lively Berber music around the bonfire. Overnight in a comfortable tent.
