Itinerary
3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Depart Marrakech in the morning, traveling through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Stop to explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for numerous movies. After lunch, continue through Ouarzazate and the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to the lush Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel surrounded by stunning rock formations.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast at your riad, set off through the scenic Dades Valley, a route known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” offering stunning views of ancient fortresses and lush green oases. Pass through traditional Berber villages, where you’ll get a glimpse of local life and culture. Continue to the Todra Gorge, a natural marvel with sheer cliffs rising over 300 meters high, perfect for short hikes or memorable photos. Enjoy a leisurely lunch before heading toward the desert, traveling through Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossil workshops and artisan crafts.
Upon reaching Merzouga, meet your camel caravan and set off into the sweeping Erg Chebbi dunes. Marvel at the ever-changing colors of the sand as the sun sets, painting the desert in warm golden hues. Arrive at your desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and a traditional Berber dinner. Spend the evening enjoying live music, storytelling, and stargazing in the serene desert night, surrounded by the vastness of the Sahara.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a breathtaking start to your day. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel back to Merzouga, where your vehicle awaits. Begin the return journey to Marrakesh, retracing your route through the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate. Stop for lunch and take some time to explore local sites or relax along the way. Arrive in Marrakesh in the evening, concluding your incredible desert adventure.

Our 3-day private tour from Marrakech to Merzouga was absolutely amazing! Having a private driver made the whole journey comfortable, flexible, and stress-free. We loved the stops along the way — Ait Ben Haddou, Dades Valley, and the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas Mountains.

The sunset camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes was unforgettable, and the private desert camp was clean, cozy, and very welcoming. Our guide was professional, friendly, and always made sure we were enjoying every moment.
